For Beta Testers Current as of Build 69

Known limitations & what’s coming

CareHaven is in active beta, and it grows almost every week. A lot already works (see the Full feature catalog and What’s new), but some pieces are partly built, turned off on purpose for now, or still on the drawing board.

On this page

This page is the honest version. It tells you what to expect today, what is coming as a fast-follow, and what is further out on the roadmap. None of it changes the data you keep in the app.

A few things are turned off on purpose right now

These are built and tested, but they are intentionally hidden in the current beta build. They are not reachable yet.

  • Send Feedback in Settings. Coming soon An in-app way to send a private, name-scrubbed note straight to us is built, but it is switched off in the current build. For now, send feedback through TestFlight, or email shawn@getcarehaven.app. See Giving feedback.
  • Sharing what works, anonymously. Coming soon The groundwork for letting families contribute anonymous, grouped insights is in place under the hood, but there is no screen for it yet.

Pieces that are mostly here, with more coming

Some features ship in stages. The core is working today; the extras below are explicit fast-follows.

  • In-the-Moment Reset on your Lock Screen and with Siri. Coming soon The breathing and grounding reset lives inside the app today. A Lock Screen and Control Center button, plus a Siri “I need a minute” shortcut, are a fast-follow. See Caregiver tools.
  • Crisis plans on the Lock Screen, Watch, and Siri. Coming soon Your typed crisis plans, including the live seizure timer, work in the app now. Surfacing them as a Lock Screen view, an Apple Watch glance, and a Siri command is on the way. See Safety & crisis plans.
  • More for skill and therapy routines. Coming soon Run mode, spoken cues, and the help-level trend are here today. Photos on each step, linking a routine to a goal, an Apple Watch version, and a Home reminder card are fast-follows. See Care plan and routines.
  • A polished PDF for your Letter of Intent. Coming soon You can write and share your Letter of Intent as text today. A nicely formatted PDF export is coming. See Safety & crisis plans.
  • More for Take a break. Coming soon You can name a backup, brief them, and track break time now. A PDF export and a gentle yearly review reminder are fast-follows. See Caregiver tools.
  • More for Health Watch. Coming soon The recommended-checks engine works today. An Apple Watch version of those reminders is a fast-follow. See Medical.

On the roadmap, not built yet

These are planned. They are grounded in published care research and shaped to fit the way CareHaven works, but they are not in the app yet. We are sharing them so you can see where things are headed.

Tailored to a diagnosis

  • Social-story builder and a sleep routine builder for autism. Planned
  • Daily report card, a reward board, a medication coverage timeline, and prompted one-on-one connect time for ADHD. Planned
  • Triggers and warning signs, seizure video for the doctor, night-watch comfort, and a postictal recovery check-in for epilepsy. Planned
  • Brace and skin checks, a safe-lift coach for your own back, and a therapy and specialist map for cerebral palsy. Planned
  • A benefits and money keeper and a richer major-decision log for intellectual disability. Planned (The appointment prep and calm-visit companion is partly here: two-way calendar sync already works, with the prep and social-story half still to come. Coming soon)
  • A growing-up transition planner and then-and-now skill snapshots for Down syndrome. Planned
  • Found in Fifteen, Say This Now, Doctor Day Packet, and Crossroads for dementia and elder care. Coming soon See Dementia & elder care. What Helped and Three A.M. capture are available now.
  • A stage-aware compass, a sundown plan, a good hours / what works activity helper, a carrying-this grief companion, and broader hospital/discharge support for dementia and elder care. Planned

Feeding, mobility, and more

  • Nutrition watch, a calm mealtime mode, and a tube-feed companion for feeding challenges. Planned
  • A safe-transfer playbook, an after-a-fall guide, a repositioning timer, and a home safety walkthrough for mobility. Planned
  • A hospital discharge kit, an important-papers locker, and a driving conversation helper for elder care. Planned
  • A medication-continuity guard and an accommodation tracker for mental-health conditions. Planned
  • A food security and routine helper and a sleep pattern tracker for genetic conditions. Planned

For you, the caregiver

  • A pleasant-events planner, a daily burnout pulse with a trend, and a nightly three good things prompt. Planned

What this means for you as a beta tester

A few honest expectations:

  • Wording is English-first. Translation is built in, and the app keeps preparing more text for it, but some newer copy lands in English first.
  • Things move quickly. A feature listed here as coming soon may already be live by the time you read it. The What’s new page tracks each build.
  • Your data is safe through all of it. New features are added gently, and your real entries are preserved. If you ever hit a rough edge, the Troubleshooting page and Giving feedback are the fastest ways to get unstuck and to tell us.

The best way to shape what comes next is to tell us what you need. Your notes genuinely steer this list.
